Asante Kotoko defeated arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 to lift the 2016/17 MTN FA Cup in Tamale on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors sealed the game in the first half courtesy a hat-trick by striker Sadick Adams.
He scored the opener as early as the second minute before converting a penalty just after the half-hour mark. Adams then completed his hat–trick with a neat finish in first-half added time.
Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey managed to pull one back in the 59th minute.
Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in next year’s Caf Confederation Cup. They also walk home with a GH¢50,000 prize money.
