Polack awaits contract extension with Kotoko

Asante Kotoko are yet to start contract talks with interim coach Steve Polack.

The Englishman becomes a free man when the curtains on this season is drawn on October 29.

Polack arrived from Berekum Chelsea prior to the second round of the 2016/17 campaign. The Porcupine Warriors had dispensed with the services of Croat Zdravko Logarusic and replaced him with the former King Faisal gaffer in a deal till season end.

Clarifying his situation with Kotoko after the club’s final home game on Sunday, Polack told reporters:

“My contract is till the end of the season.

“I’ve heard rumours that they want me to stay but at the moment there’s been no negotiation so the ball is in their court.

“The FA Cup final will be my last game,”  he added.

Polack leads Kotoko into the FA Cup final against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Tamale Stadium on October 29.

He led the side to win the President’s Cup in July and looks set to cement a Top 4 place on the final day of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League this coming weekend.
