Captain Isaac Twum received the Golden Ball award as the 2017 Wafu Cup best player after helping Ghana win the competition on Sunday.
The Black Stars thrashed arch rivals Nigeria 4-1 in the final of the tournament which run from September 9-24 in the Central region of the country.
Twum’s influence from midfield was adjudged the most influential above all 289 players who made their way to the Wafu Cup tournament.

Nigeria’s goalkeeper and captain Ezenwa Ikechukwu, who until the final had not conceded a goal, picked up the golden glove award.

Meanwhile, Ghana striker Stephen Sarfo’s double in the final earned him the Golden Boot award with four goals.
The Berekum Chelsea forward scored one each against Mali and Niger before hitting a brace against Nigeria.
Ghana take home the $100,000 prize money for winning the 2017 Wafu Cup while the Super Eagles receive $50,000 for their silver medal feat.
Niger who emerged third receive same amount, $25,000 as fourth-placed Benin.
The Wafu Cup is a biennial tournament organized by the West African Football Union (Wafu) in partnership with Fox Sports Network who are providing a $2 million cash annually for the next 12 years to support the activities of the regional football organization.
