STEP ASIDE: Liberty axe assistant coach Osei-Fosu

The management of Liberty Professionals has asked assistant coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu to step aside for the rest of the season.

Reports from the camp of the Dansoman-based Ghana Premier League outfit claim the young trainer has been communicated to officially by director Felix Ansong.

A source further claimed coach Osei-Fosu’s recent attitude towards work forced the club to axe him.

Osei-Fosu was acting head coach when the 2016/17 season began but was relegated to assistant duties following the appointment of former Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei midway into the campaign.

Liberty Professionals, who are relegation threatened, are preparing for the resumption of the Ghana Premier League next week. They travel to face Medeama in a matchday 27 fixture on October 4.
