Wafu Tourney: Seidu Salifu in Ghana’s prelim squad, team to camp in Tadi

Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has roped in former Under-20 star Seidu Salifu in his 25-man preliminary squad for the upcoming Wafu Tournament.

The midfielder is currently unattached, having failed to land a permanent deal after his stint with Turkish second tier side Ümranıyespor last season.

The Black Stars ‘B’ have settled on camping in Takoradi and will commence preparations for the competition on Thursday.

Ghana, hosts of the Wafu Tournament, will face Gambia in the preliminary round of the competition on September 9 with the winner advancing to the group stage.

The tournament will be staged at the new Cape Coast Stadium from September 9-24.
