VIDEO: Ghana’s Patrick Twumasi leads Astana on revenge mission against Celtic

Astana have revenge on their minds as they battle Scottish giants Celtic in the Uefa Champions League play-offs Wednesday night, says leading striker Patrick Twumasi.

The two sides face off in the first of a two-legged affair for a ticket to the group stage of the 2017/18 competition.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Ghana international said the Kazakh Premier League champions will need to work harder against the Brendan Rogers side which knocked them out the last term.

“It would be revenge for us to win so we must give our best,” the 23-year-told STV Sport.

“Celtic are a great team and a tough team for us in a European competition.

“They are very strong so we don’t have time or any excuse. We just have to keep our focus and then concentrate, give our best on the pitch.”
