Ghana defender Lalas Abubakar scored his first goal of the season for Columbus Crew as they played out a 1-1 draw away to Orlando City in the MLS.
The centre-back powered home the opening goal with a header to the top right corner from a free-kick by Waylon Francis in the 35th minute.
But Orlando City, who were in sore need of a victory, fought back to pull level in the 67th minute through Giles Barnes
Crew were down by a man in the final 13 minutes after Video Review led to Harrison Afful getting sent off for an elbow on Yoshimar Yotun.
Orlando City could still not find a winner despite bossing much of the match with the game ending 1-1.
Lalas Abubakar, joined by compatriots Jonathan Mensah in defense as well as midfielder Mohammed Abu lasted the full minutes of the Eastern Conference clash.
Columbus return home to host LA Galaxy next Wednesday.
