Majeed Waris pops up on Burnley radar

Burnley are weighing up an offer for Lorient and Black Stars forward Majeed Waris, English tabloid Daily Mail has reported.

Waris scored nine Ligue 1 goals last season but was unable to keep Lorient from relegation and will move on from the French club this summer.

Lorient are holding out for £10million but Burnley would want to pay closer to £8m for the 25-year-old player, who can operate on the wing or up front.

Waris has indicated his intention to leave Lorient this summer.
