GHPL: Yusif Abubakar urges Aduana focus for title run-in

Aduana Stars coach, Yusif Abubakar has challenged his boys to keep the momentum for their title chase in the final weeks of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League.

The Dormaa side leads the pack, one point better than WAFA SC who are second with 46 points after 25 games.

Aduana play guests to third-placed Hearts of Oak in a title-defining battle at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

Speaking on his team’s title chances, the well-travelled trainer on the local scene stated that his charges must exude bravery and confidence for the run-in in order to finish top of the log.

“Previously, we started to make an impact among those to contend for the league title. Looking at the situation at the moment, I think it is now reserved to some few clubs, us and two other clubs that we have to chase.

“So we have to be on course and this is the time we have to be brave and confident so that what we want to achieve, we will be able to,” coach Abu said.

After facing Hearts on Wednesday, the 2010 Ghana Premier League champions will take on WAFA SC (Home), Bolga All Stars (Away), Elmina Sharks (Home) and survival battlers AshantiGold (Away) to complete their last five games of the campaign.
