Gala bound? Kwadwo Asamoah out of Juve squad for Genoa clash

Kwadwo Asamoah looks to be closing in on a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray after being left out of Juventus’ squad for this weekend’s league game, footy-ghana.com has gathered.

The Italian champions have a tricky trip to Marassi to face Genoa in the Serie A on Saturday.

Asamoah, 28, has been courted by Galatasaray since the opening of the summer transfer window.

Reports suggest the Ghana international said goodbye to his teammates Friday morning.

Should a deal be done between the two clubs, Kwadwo Asamoah’s move to the Turk Telecom Arena can only be confirmed after Galatasaray’s league tie with Sivasspor. It could fetch the midfielder as much as 2.6m euros per year in salaries.

Exactly a week ago, the CEO for Italian champions Juventus, Beppe Marotta said Kwadwo Asamoah had not shown indication of wanting to leave despite the lure from the Turkish giants, adding the club will only consider doing a deal when he demands a transfer.

“Yes, Galatasaray is talking about interest, but he has not made any demand to leave. The transfer period is still open, we have 15 days to respond to incoming offers,” Marotta had said.

Kwadwo Asamoah has consistently been used as a makeshift left-back under manager Massimiliano Allegri.
