CHAN 2018: Ghana name squad for Burkina Faso trip [SEE LIST]

Black Stars ‘B’ coach Maxwell Konadu has named an 18-man squad for Wednesday night’s trip to Burkina Faso.

Ghana is set to play guests to the Stallions in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers to the 2018 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) to be staged in Kenya.

Two goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and two strikers make up the list of 18 while nine other technical and management team members complete the Black Stars ‘B’ travelling party.

On Saturday, the Local Stallions will host Ghana at the Stade du 4 Août, a 35,000 capacity multi-purpose stadium located in the capital city of Ouagadougo.

Ghana began preparations for this crucial tie on May 15. The team engaged in over 10 friendlies including international duels with Benin, The Gambia and Togo. The Black Stars ‘B’ had stayed unbeaten throughout until they were given a wake up call by ex-national star Godwin Attram’s de Visser Academy who beat them 3-1 on Monday.

The return leg for this tie has been fixed for August 20 in Kumasi.
