CHAN 2018: Felix Annan upbeat about Ghana’s qualification

Black Stars ‘B’ keeper Felix Annan believes the team is ready for their CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso.

A team comprising of 18 players made the trip to Ouagadougou as Ghana seek to improve their performance from the previous qualifier.

The Black Stars failed to qualify for the 2016 CHAN tournament after losing to Ivory Coast on the away goal rule despite a 2-1 win in the first leg.

Three players have been maintained from the previous squad with Felix Annan, Daniel Darkwah and Amos Frimpong as the survivors.

Annan, who did not make an appearance, is confident the team will learn from their mistakes.

“Preparation has been very great and we are looking forward to the game on Saturday,” Annan told Ultimate FM.

“We couldn’t qualify for last year’s edition which was very frustrating. This time around we have learned from the past and really working hard to qualify. We are really determined and fully prepared [against Burkina Faso clash].”

Ghana have been finalists twice in the event but yet to win the title.
