Brighton, others target Majeed Waris deal

Four UK clubs have been linked with Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris today.

The speedy attacker has already declared his resolve to leave the club this summer and showed clear signals when he missed Lorient’s season opener in the Ligue 2 last weekend.

According to a report from the Daily Mail,  West Ham United are among a host of teams interested in landing the striker, with his stock seemingly growing ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The Hammers will face competition for his signature as the report states that all of Fulham, Brighton and Celtic are keen.

It’s claimed by the Mail that a fee of just £9m would be enough to lure the forward away from the French outfit.

Despite being a natural striker, Waris has enjoyed a lot of success on the wing at Lorient, and has notched a commendable tally of 21 goals in 58 games since his move from Spartak Moscow.
