Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah joins Viking FK on loan

Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah has completed a loan move to Viking FK in Norway.

The Ghanaian, after falling out of the pecking order at the Premier League side, has decided to join the Norwegian outfit to gain regular first team action till the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has suffered injuries which has kept him on the sidelines for a long period but is eager to prove his merit for a starting position in Crystal Palace with this short spell at Viking FK.

“Looking forward to the new challenge after signing on loan with @viking_fk!! Can’t wait to kick things off next week,” a positive Appiah tweeted.

He played for Ghana at the 2015 Africa Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea where the Black Stars lost on penalties to eventual winners Cote d’Ivoire.

Kwesi Appiah has failed to make it into Crystal Palace team since 2013 but has had loan deals at some English sides such as Notts County and AFC Wimbledon.
