Former Black Stars Coach Herbert Addo has been confirmed dead after battling illness.
The veteran coach who has been out of active coaching duty had been under medical attention for a couple of weeks at the Executive ward of 37 Military Hospital after an illness struck him.
The entire Ghanaian football family has been dealt with another devastating news as his death was confirmed at midday on Friday March 24, 2017 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
His demise adds up to the sad deaths of experienced coaches Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, Ben Kouffie, E.K Afranie, Sam Arday and Osam Doudo.
Herbert Addo has handled a large number of Ghana Premier League clubs including Hearts of Oak, Aduana Stars, AshantiGold, Amidaus Professionals and Inter Allies as well as Division One side Samatex.
He is famous for winning the Ghana Premier League with Aduana Stars in their maiden season during the 2009/2010 GLO Premier League and his 1997 Champions League penalty-shootout defeat in the final to Raja Cassablanca as head coach of then Goldfields now Ashanti Gold.
