Jordan Ayew completes Swansea City switch

Black Stars and Aston Villa forward Jordan Ayew has completed his switch to premier league side Swansea City from Championship side Aston Villa, ending months of speculation about the former Olympic Marseille forward’s future.

Jordan was part of an exchange deal which saw left-back Neil Taylor join Aston Villa in the Championship whiles the 25-year-old switch to Swansea City.
He joins his brother’s former club where he was an instant hit in his first season – netting 12 goals in the process.

Head coach for the club, Paul Clement, in an interview with the club’s website, expressed his joy after capturing the goal poacher.

“I’m sure his brother has given him the inside track on the club.

“He is very good acquisition. He’s versatile and dynamic to attack the lines and get in behind defenses.

“He will certainly give us something different to what we’ve got,” he said.

Jordan joined Villa from Lorient in 2015 and went ahead to score 10 in 58 appearances.

Jordan is currently with the Ghana Black Stars at the African Cup of Nations preparing for their semi-final game against Cameroon on Thursday – after helping them defeat DR Congo to advance to the next stage.
