Dr Nyaho Tamakloe backs Fred Pappoe as Nyantakyi’s successor

Former Ghana Football Association President Nyaho Tamakloe has thrown his weight behind Fred Pappoe to be the next Ghana FA boss after Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Ghanaians are calling for a change in leadership of the GFA following Ghana’s abysmal showing at the Cup of Nations in Gabon

Despite the calls for Kwesi Nyantakyi to relinquish his seat, very few have been able to suggest competent replacements.

Dr Nyaho Tamakloe in an interview on Adehye3 FM in Kumasi on Tuesday threw his weight behind Nyantakyi’s former vice Fred Pappoe.

“Indeed if Kwesi leaves there either through voting or whatever it is, the person I think can handle the FA better is Fred Pappoe. We don’t want people who are just crooks and they are looking for money. I don’t think Kwesi is there because of money, no, not at all.

Kwesi and Fred Pappoe understand football very well and can run the FA with few problems,” Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe said.
