Willy Sagnol to arrive in Ghana today

Ex-France International, Willy Sagnol is due to arrive in Ghana on Thursday 19th Jan for five-day visit to conduct football clinics.

A 2006 world cup finalist, Sagnol’s visit is being facilitated by renowned football academy, Mirage Football. Sagnol,s visit to Ghana which will be coordinated by the chairman of Mirage Academy, Sarpong Boateng Okyere will see the former Bayern Munich player under take different football related activities.

Okyere confirmed details of Sagnol’s visit: “While in the country, the 39-year old former manager of Bordeaux will take time to meet the media, and make studio appearances during the Ghana/Mali Afcon match.

“He will also engage coaches and players of the Mirage Academy at our Gyankama base.”

This is the second time Mirage Football has brought a football legend to Ghana. In 2013, Eddie Mcgoldrick, a former Arsenal and Man city star toured Ghana and worked with Ghanaian young footballers for three months while in Ghana.
