The Ghana Football Association has disclosed the dates for the commencement of its new league seasons for the Premier League and Division One.
The new season will now begin close to five months after the 2015/16 season which saw Wa All Stars emerge champions ended.
The GN National Division One League kicks off on February 3, 2017, a day ahead of the start of the Ghana Premier League which will be on February 4, 2017.
By virtue of this communication, a date has also been slated for the Ghana Super Cup fixture between League Champions Wa All Stars and MTN FA Cup winners Bechem United on January 22, 2017 at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
This decision was made at the Ghana FA extra-ordinary Congress held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra Wednesday.
The Ghana Premier League will however be launched on January 25 with the Special Gala Competition taking place on 28th and 29th days of January.
