Asante Kotoko will by the weekend decide whether the club will sport Under Armor, Barex or Macron for the upcoming season, Footy-Ghana.com can exclusively reveal.
The Opoku Nti-led administration cancelled the club’s existing contract with Singaporean brand Mafro over broken promises leaving the new leadership spearheaded by Dr. Kwame Kyei with the opportunity to bring in a new company to kit the club.
Management after negotiations with various intermediaries have after careful deliberations has narrowed the list of potentials to the above-mentioned, setting the tone for a fierce battle which began right from the day Manhyia gave the nod to the oil magnate.
Sources say, Barex is an outsider in the presence of these well-established brands – Under Armor who kit big clubs like English giants Tottenham Hotspurs and the Italian kit makers, Macron.
Footy-Ghana can authoritatively state that the contract will not be beyond the management’s mandate – two years for who is chosen as the new Asante Kotoko kit maker.
