Medeama breaks camp ahead of 2016 elections

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have given permission to their players to exercise their franchise in the 2016 elections.

Ghana will be voting for a president on Wednesday, 7th December 2016, and so no player is disenfranchised on the day, the Tarkwa based club has decided break camp to enable the players vote.

The club had a good Africa campaign last season and have been training for the 2016/17 season since November 5 in a bid to ensure an improvement of form in the domestic league but will now have to wait till the elections are over.

The club tweeted that, “Medeama players given permission to travel and cast their ballots.. Lets vote peacefully”.

The club has also debunked rumours that their midfielder Kwame Boahen is in Kumasi to sign for premier league giants Kotoko but rather to vote on Wednesday.
