AshantiGold look poised to sign former Ghana Premier League top scorer Kofi Owusu.
The Miners were keen on signing the diminutive forward after his goal king feat in the 2014/15 season but he opted for a move abroad to Egyptian side FC.
Following reports that the former Berekum Chelsea star’s three-year deal has been terminated, the Obuasi-based club reestablished contacts with the player and has begun training with the side, Footy-Ghana sources have confirmed.
Kofi Owusu scored 19 goals for Berekum Chelsea to emerge top scorer of the 2014/15 Ghana Premier League.
