Ghana has qualified to the quarterfinals of the on-going 2016 Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup in Jordan.
The Black Maidens defeated Paraguay by 1-0 on Saturday to get book their slot in the last 8 of the tournament.
Skipper Sandra Owusu Ansah got the only goal in the game for the Maidens on the 68th ensuring a third successive appearance in the last eight of the competition.
Meanwhile, Japan defeated USA 3- 2 in the other group game propelling the Asians to top the group with 9 points, Ghana with 6 points, USA on 3 and Paraguay with no point and conceding 12 goals in three games.
Ghana will face the winner of Group C, Korea DPR, who finished their group with 7 points on Thursday.
