My technical crew sabotaged me – Sergio Traguil

Coach of the youth team of Accra Hearts of Oak (Auroras), Sergio Traguil has blamed his technical crew for his failure at the senior team level.

The Portuguese trainer succeeded Coach Kenichi Yatshuhashi midway through the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League season.

He failed to perform to the satisfaction of many fans of Accra Hearts of Oak leading to his demotion to the Auroras.

His assistant then, Yaw Preko was asked to charge of the club for the rest of the season and Traguil in an interview with Viasat 1 sports says he was sabotaged by members of his technical team.

“When I arrived, I identified some problems that we had because it was not easy to come half of the season to substitute a coach that somebody loved and I knew it was going to be a difficult job”.

According to him, “I advised that we should change our technical crew, not that we should sack them, no, but to do my job I need people that understand my job, I need people that I can trust so if the technical crew was working with Kenichi, their mind was not with me especially if Kenichi go out, they want my job, that is the real truth”.

Asked whether he was deliberately sabotaged, Traguil said “Yes” and further directed his accusation at his technical crew.

Meanwhile, Yaw Preko has rubbished the claims saying it has no merits.
