Hearts of Oak denies Didi link

Accra Hearts of Oak has denied media reports linking former Kotoko Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani to the club.

According to the reports, the national U-20 female team’s coach has already held talks with the Ghanaian giants who are seeking to end a seven-year league trophy drought.

During the 2015/16 season where many thought the club could win a title, they once again failed coming 4th at the end. This has been attributed to the termination of the contract with Japanese-American Coach, Kenichi Yatsuhashi who had began the season well with the side.

Portuguese coach Sergio Traguil held the fort in the second round of the season but was later demoted to the juniors with substantive assistant coach Yaw Preko taking charge of the team in the final three games.

The Phobians are on the look out for a substantive coach with reports already claiming that coach Dramani is in line to take over as the new head coach but Public Relations Officer of the Phobians, Kwame Opare Addo has denied the claims.

According to him, “Hearts of Oak has not had any discussions with Coach Didi Dramani as has been reported in the media”.

It is however reported that a member of the board of directors of the club, Frank Nelson has said he will welcome Dramani’s appointment.
