Ghana U-17 up for Burkina Faso clash – Fabin

Ghana coach Paa Kwesi Fabin believes his side are ready to face Burkinabe Faso in the 2017 Africa Under-17 Cup of Nations qualifiers on Sunday.

According to Fabin, preparations are advanced towards the second round first leg tie slated for the new Cape Coast Stadium.

“We are ready for the game,” Fabin informed Atinka FM.

“We have prepared very well.”

The former Asante Kotoko coach also revealed the team’s antennary for the encounter.

“We will play a low profile friendly against Cape Coast Strikers on Wednesday.

“We will also train at the match venue Cape Coast Stadium and get familiar with the pitch before Sunday, so we are very prepared for the game.”

Fabin’s charges are eager to make the Afcon after failing to reach the 2015 edition in Niger over a disqualification for fielding over-aged player Isaac Twum in a qualifier against Cameroon.

The two-time African champions have a potential date with Benin/Cote d’Ivoire in the final round should they overcome their Burkinabe counterparts after two legs.

The final tournament comes off in Madagascar.
