Bechem United have no respect for my private life – Zacharias

Estranged Bechem United coach Manuel Zacharias has said the club has no respect for his private life, after being asked to stay away from the first team over issues regarding his girlfriend.

Zacharias, who has led the team to the FA cup final, was on Wednesday asked to stay away from the first team over issues regarding his relationship with his girlfriend, which the team feels is interfering with the discharge of his duties.

Zacharias was reported to have traveled with his girlfriend in the team bus to Bechem United’s last premier league game in Wa, amidst protest from the team managers.

But the outspoken Portuguese trainer has hit back saying for all his hard work, the least he deserves is respect for his private life.

“I want to work with a club not because they will pay me millions, but because they will show me respect, let me work in peace and respect my private life. And this is what I don’t have at Bechem United,” Zacharias told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.

“I fight and fight all the time for this club, but nobody gives me enough credit. I deserve more respect, especially for my private life,” he concluded.

Zacharias joined the Hunters in April and has led the club to the FA cup final, beating giants Asante Kotoko along the way.
