Adomah relishing Premier League action

Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah has revealed his eagerness to get the 2016/2017 English Premier League season underway.

The 28-year-old, who joined the side from Bristol City in 2014, is set to taste the topflight for the time in his career.

Boro make a return to the English elite division after a seven-year stay in the second tier.

“I’m ready now and to be honest I really can’t wait for pre-season to be finished,” Adomah was quoted as saying.

“Pre-season helps, obviously. The training helps and it gets us fit to try and win games and helps us link up with new players.

“But at the same time you just want that to be finished so you can concentrate on the season.”

“It does feel a bit surreal to be honest because you look up to these players having watched them on television and now you happen to be playing with them.

“But it’s part of my career now and obviously they can make me a better player.”

Adomah made five appearances in Middlesbrough’s preparatory matches for the coming season.

Coach Aitor Karanka’s men will mark their return with a clash with Stoke City on Saturday.
