Didi Dramani confident of under-20 Afcon qualification

Ghana under-20 coach Mas-Ud Dramani believes his side will overturn their two-goal deficit in the return encounter of their 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations final round qualifier with Senegal in a fortnight.

The Black Satellites suffered a 3-1 defeat to their West African counterparts in the first leg tie played at the Demba Diop Stadium, Dakar, on Saturday.

Dramani says the race is far from over, having identified loopholes in his opponents’ set-up.

“We played a tight game and both teams had their chances,” Dramani told CafOnline.

“The difference is that our opponent converted their chances.

“Nevertheless, we scored a goal that will have its weight in gold in the second leg.

“The party is far from lost. We know more about the opponent and the preparation and approach will not be the same. Now this is no longer the case and we will see another match in the return leg,” he added.

The Satellites will host the Young Lions of Teranga on the 21st of July.
