WAFA SC and Wa Rockets have booked their tickets to the quarterfinals of the 2016 MTN FA Cup on Friday.
Premier League side WAFA sailed through after beating third-tier side Emmanuel FC 1-0 at the WAFA Stadium in Sogakope.
Defender Caleb Amankwah scored the only goal of the match in the first half on six minutes.
At Wa, Rockets also accounted for Kumasi-based Division One side Asokwa Deportivo who eliminated league Champions AshantiGold in the previous round.
Isaac Bawa scored the only goal of the game to keep Rockets on track in the competition.
The next batch of games – Storm Academy vs Asante Kotoko and Samartex FC vs Liberty Professionals are scheduled for Saturday while four other Round of 16 games come off on Sunday.
