New Edubiase coach Anthony Kommeh has lauded his players’ determination and fighting spirit exhibited in their 2-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea on match day 10 of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
Edubiase picked their second successive win in the league after defeating Asante Kotoko by a goal to nil at their backyard last week. They had earlier lost their match day 8 home game encounter against regional rivals Ashanti Gold.
The win against Chelsea will be a very key factor for the “Yenko Nkoaa Lads” in their fight to beat the drop on the league table.
“It is true we won against Kotoko and came here to win again. I think is a plus for us,” Kommeh said after the game.
“The game we lost against Ashanti Gold wasn’t a game we should have lost. So after we won the Kotoko game, we were hoping to continue with what we’re doing. It wasn’t an easy win anyway but I think the fighting spirit of the boys brought this win to us. I am very happy.”
New Edubiase currently lie 11th on the league table and will on match day 11 play wounded Hasaacas who lost 2-1 to Dreams FC .
