Frank Nelson to fans: Stick together in pushing the Hearts agenda

Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson is calling on the Phobian fraternity to stick together in pushing the club’s season agenda.

The past week has seen Hearts of Oak dominate the sporting headlines with a well-publicized feud between the strategic management and head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

Kenichi has been alleged to have caused commotion at the club’s secretariat when called to explain why the team has failed to pick a single win in three matches now.

In addition to this, chief scout of the club, Joe Addo has also been sacked due to an internal restructuring.

However, Nelson is championing for an all hands on deck approach to help bring the club back to winning ways.

“I will tell our supporters that I know there are so many issues going on the airwaves – issues with the technical department, issues with the management, board, and strategic management,” he told the club’s media channel.

“But I believe that as a house, a club or an association, let’s come together for one purpose and I think we should be able to relax our mind, and chase what we want to chase and be able to look at what is ahead of us.

“And what is ahead of us is to make sure we win games and win three points.

“The next match is Ashgold and then we are playing Kotoko. We should concentrate and leave the media everything and build our team, encourage our boys and try to resolve all issues that are resolvable – and the ones that we cannot resolve, we do away with it.”

Kenichi, amidst all the disputes, remains in charge for the AshantiGold game after earlier reports emanated that he had been asked to stay off the club.

AshantiGold host the Phobians at 3:20pm on Sunday. The game is live on SuperSport TV.
