CAF CC: Medeama get Sundowns for final playoffs

Medeama SC has been drawn against South African club Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2nd 1/8th round of the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Ghanaian club won 2-0 on aggregate against Sudanese club Al Shendi to qualify for the draw against the losing club of the 1/8th round of the Champions League.

Sundowns on the other hand beat AS Vita 2-1 at home, but lost on away-goals after losing the first leg 1-0 in DR Congo in the Champions League and will be looking forward to make amends by defeating Medeama.

The first leg of the play-offs will come off in South Africa on the weekend of 6-8 May, with the return leg coming up a week later in Ghana.
