NTI BOAKYE: Ex-Kotoko forward pops up at Nigeria’s IfeanyiUbah

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Kofi Nti Boakye is working to find his feet again at new club FC IfeanyiUbah, who feature in the Nigerian Professional Football league.

Nti Boakye, a brother to former Black Stars’ striker, Isaac Boakye, left the Kumasi-based club in July 2013 when his contract ended and failed to renew it.

He went on to sign a lucrative free agent deal with Libyan side Al Ahli but lasted at the club for only few months. In March last year, he was spotted training with South African club Ajax Cape Town but failed to secure a deal.

Footy-GHANA.com has confirmed that the 28-year-old forward is now officially on the books of the Anambra-based club who held their pre-season preparation in Ghana prior to the start of the Nigerian league.

Nti Boakye has been handed the number 9 shirt and was a second half substitute in IfeanyiUbah’s match day 3 league fixture last Sunday. He however failed to make any impact as the side managed by former Hearts of Oak coach Mitko Dobrev succumbed to a 2-0 defeat away to Rivers United of Porthacourt.

They currently lie 12th on the league log with three points and will be hosting Shooting Stars in a match day 4 next league fixture at the FC Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium on Wednesday.
