‘I won’t resign’ – David Duncan fights back

Coach of Asante Kotoko David Duncan has said he will not step down from his position despite a run of poor results that has left the Porcupine Warriors languishing in 14th position on the league table.

Kotoko were swept apart in 25 first half minutes by a Sadick Adams-inspired Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park which left the 2-time African Champions with just 2 points from their opening 4 games, and still searching for their first victory this campaign.

A section of supporters are already calling for the head of coach Duncan but the former AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak gaffer said he isn’t one to walk away from a tough challenge.

“I have never resigned from any job before. Unless you’re telling me that this is Kotoko’s worst start to any premier league season, this should not be a situation the club hasn’t been in before. We will have to all work together to try and turn things around,” Duncan told

Asante Kotoko will next host Hasaacas on Friday at the Baba Yara stadium as they go in search of their first win of this campaign.
