‘I won’t resign’ – David Duncan fights back

Coach of Asante Kotoko David Duncan has said he will not step down from his position despite a run of poor results that has left the Porcupine Warriors languishing in 14th position on the league table.

Kotoko were swept apart in 25 first half minutes by a Sadick Adams-inspired Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park which left the 2-time African Champions with just 2 points from their opening 4 games, and still searching for their first victory this campaign.

A section of supporters are already calling for the head of coach Duncan but the former AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak gaffer said he isn’t one to walk away from a tough challenge.

“I have never resigned from any job before. Unless you’re telling me that this is Kotoko’s worst start to any premier league season, this should not be a situation the club hasn’t been in before. We will have to all work together to try and turn things around,” Duncan told Footy-GHANA.com.

Asante Kotoko will next host Hasaacas on Friday at the Baba Yara stadium as they go in search of their first win of this campaign.
