Ghana vs Mozambique: NSA assures fans of adequate security

The National Sports Authority has assured fans who will troop to the Accra Sports Stadium to watch the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Mozambique of adequate security.

The Black Stars will take on the Mambas of Mozambique in the first leg duel of the double qualifiers this afternoon. About forty thousand spectators are expected to throng to the stadium, and there is therefore the need to put in place some pragmatic measures to protect lives and property before, during and after the game.

Mr. Saka Acquaye, the Chairman of the NSA tells Kumasi-based Bohye FM that his outfit has met all stakeholders to discuss and put in place measures to ensure a successful match on the afternoon.

‘’So far everything is on course. All the stakeholders have met to discuss the necessary issues,’’ he stated.

‘’Every Black Stars game is a category A match so we have really prepared well. All that I can say is that the Army will be there, National Security, BNI, Fire Service and others. Apart from that we will switch on the CCTV Cameras before, during and after the game. For now the Ghana Security is on top of the job, and I can assure Ghanaians of proper and adequate security.’’

The Ghana-Mozambique game kicks off at 3:30pm today.
