AFCON 2017: Assifuah, Duncan start as Grant rings four changes in Ghana XI for Mozambique reverse

Coach Avram Grant has made four changes in Ghana’s starting line-up for this afternoon’s African Cup of Nations qualifying reverse clash against Mozambique.

With injuries to Mubarak Wakaso, Christian Atsu and Frank Acheampong, the Black Stars coach has opted for Alfred Duncan, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Jeffrey Schlupp in their stead.

FC Lorient striker Abdul Majeed Waris has also relinquished his position for young attacker Ebenezer Assifuah. The Swiss-based forward pairs with Jordan Ayew up front.

Centre-back John Boye has shrugged off the knock he suffered in last Thursday’s 3-1 win in Accra to maintain the balance in the Ghana back line.

The match set for the Estádio nacional do Zimpeto in Maputo kicks off at 13:00 GMT.

Ghana starting line up:

Razak Brimah – Harrison Afful, Baba Abdul Rahman, Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, Afriyie Acquah, Alfred Duncan, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Ebenezer Assifuah, Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp
