VIDEO: Awal Mohammed scores debut goal in big Raja win

Black Stars defender, Awal Mohammed, Sunday, scored his debut goal for his club Raja Casablanca in the Moroccan Botola Pro League.

Awal has been very impressive since arriving in a free agent move in August 2015. He has appeared in sixteen matches and missed two of the eighteen games played in the league.

Raja defeated MC Oudja by four goals to nil on match day eighteen with the Ghanaian international capping a good show with his first goal in official games for the side.

In the 74th minute, an overlapping Awal neatly headed from a cross but his somewhat less dangerous goal attempt saw Oudja’s goalkeeper make a complete mess of himself as he failed to grab the ball, leaving it to pass through his legs.

Their away win makes it three win out of eight attempts. Lost twice and drawn three as visitors to other clubs.

They are currently sixth on the league log with nine points separating them and league leaders, Wydad Casablanca, who have a game in hand.

Impressively, Raja who had a difficult start to the season, are yet to taste defeat in their last five matches, with two wins and three draws. Their next match will be against KAC Kenitra on Saturday the 5th of March.
