Black Stars Coach to monitor Division One League

Assistant Coach for the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, Maxwell Konadu has revealed his office will closely monitor the GN Bank Division One League.

The League which commenced over the weekend saw very interesting results and performance from some players and the former Kotoko Coach minced no words of his intention.

Last year Coach Maxwell Konadu who is also the head coach of the local Black Stars handed invitations to Leonard Owusu of Dreams FC, Joel Fameyeh – Asokwa Deportivo, Isaac Amoah from Amidaus Professionals and Bright Lukman of Ebusua Dwarfs in a thirty man list for the 2016 CHAN qualifying first leg tie against Ivory Coast and it seems that won’t be the end of the call-ups of Division one League players for national assignments.

Coach Konadu and his head especially have been criticized for not attending league matches and perhaps in a bid to change this mindset, the local Black Stars trainer has given the strongest indication of more calls up from the second tier league.

Coach Maxwell Konadu took to his Twitter page to post:
