Baba Rahman Makes UEFA Champions League First XI

Baba Abdul Rahman has been named in the UEFA Champions League team of the week after his splendid performance with Chelsea against Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Tuesday.

Baba, who has struggled for first team action most parts of the season, was handed a start after team captain John Terry was declared unfit to feature in the game at the Parc de Prince.

Despite his lack of playing time, the 21-year old never failed to impress as he put up a spirited performance to keep Di Maria and over-lapping Marquinhos at bay.

Experienced Di Maria could not find space and room to operate on the night. He had to switch flanks to be able to make his way through.

Although the Blues lost by two goals to one, he [Baba Rahman] together with their goalkeeper, Thibaut Curtois, were the only Chelsea players to appear in the first eleven.

The Ghanaian international will be looking to build on his confidence by playing more matches. He has so far featured ten (10) times and received two yellow cards; all against Stoke City.
