Levski Sofia sign Francis Narh

2013 Ghana U-20 World Cup star Francis Narh has completed a switch to Bulgarian powerhouse Levski Sofia.

The 21-year-old striker who is known for his fast pace moves from Serbian top flight side Banik Ostravia after nearly spending two years at the club. He arrived in Sofia last Saturday after both teams reached a transfer agreement.

Narh scored 7 goals in a total 46 league appearances since arriving in summer 2013 together with compatriot Derrick Mensah.

The former Tema Youth trainee however dragged feet and delayed signing his part of the deal for close to six hours as he made further consultations before committing his future to the Bulgarian giants for the next three years.

“I’ve finally signed with Levski [after 6hrs delay]. I had to check with my father. We talked about my decision,” Narh explained in his first media interview.

“I will give the best of myself for us [Levski Sofia] to be able to become champions. That is why I’m here,” he added.

Narh could be handed his Levski debut in a top of the table clash with leaders Ludogorets when the Slovakian league resumes on February 19. Both teams are currently tied on 38 points.
