Hearts snap up Hasaccas fringe goalie Akurugu

Accra Hearts of Oak have bolstered their goalkeeping department with the acquisition of Samuel Ayaliga Akurugu.

Akurugu has been a fringe player at Ghana Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas for the past two years playing second fiddle to the experienced ex-Black Stars shot-stopper George Owu.

The Phobians who have been in the market in search for competition for first choice Soulama Abdoulaye and youngster Seidu Mutawakilu finally settled on Akurugu and completed a three year contract agreement with their target.

The new signing begins training with his new team-mates on Thursday.
