BENNETT OFORI: Kotoko complete first of double signing from Berekum Chelsea

Berekum Chelsea midfielder Bennett Ofori Ansu has on Thursday, concluded personal terms of a three-year contract as he switches to dethrone league champions Asante Kotoko, footy-Ghana.com can confirm.

This follows a transfer agreement between the managements of Chelsea and the porcupine warriors.

The youngster, after successful medicals, will become the seventh acquisition by the busy porcupine warriors who are looking to banish the ghosts of a poor 2014/15 season where they lost all trophies they contested for.

Ben Ofori, who can play on both wings of attack and as a second striker, is leaving the Berekum club after two seasons in the senior team.

The 20-year who was first signed to the Chelsea Under-20 side from city rivals Arsenals, (after the 2011/12 season) scored five goals in 20 appearances in the 2013/14 Ghana Premier League before going 5 more games in the 2014/15 FCPPL. His scoring rate however reduced to two league goals during the past campaign.

Footy-Ghana can also confirm that Asante Kotoko have sealed an agreement with Chelsea over centre-back Richard Osei Agyemang who has now been given the clear to negotiate his personal terms.

The player registration process for the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League has been set to officially begin on November 20.
