2018 WC Qualifier: Comoros recall five seniors in squad to face Ghana

Comoros have recalled five senior players in a 23-man squad for their 2018 World Cup qualifying double header with Ghana.

National coach Abdou Amir announced his squad for the second round of the prelims on Thursday with two defenders, Kassim Abdallah (Jonatahn Mensah’s club mate) and Chaker Alhadhur as well as the midfield trio of Mohamed Youssouf, Nasser Chamed and Fouad Bachirou returning to the fold of ‘Les Cœlacanthes.’

The 23-man squad is dominated by 18 foreign-based players, majority of which are from the various league divisions in France.

Comoros host Ghana first in Moroni on Friday November 13 with the return leg scheduled for the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on November 17
