The West African Football Academy (WAFA) has granted head coach John Killa a one-week compassionate leave to attend to a family issue.
Killa who has led his side to a three (3) game win and a draw from seven (7) games in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League is expected back next Tuesday to handle their Premier League game against Accra Hearts of Oak.
This means he will be out of WAFA’s MTN FA round of 32 clash against Division One side Karela FC this weekend.
This was confirmed by a statement on the club’s website:
“The Academy wish to announce that First Team coach John Killa is away on a one-week compassionate leave”.
“The Dutchman has returned to his hometown to deal with a pressing family issue”.
It added: “He will be in town on Tuesday to handle the midweek clash against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League”.
John Killa is rumoured to be on his way out of the Academy for an Indian Premier League club.
