Ghana FA Technical Director Francis Oti Akenten has said he will be willing to help Kumasi Asante Kotoko as Technical Advisor if approached for the role.
Kotoko are in the hunt for a technical director to complement the efforts of Michael Osei, who has struggled to pick positive results for the Porcupine Warriors since the start of the second round of the league.
Former player and coach of the club Malik Jabir has also put himself in the fray for the role.
Asked if he will be interested in the role, Oti Akenten said he will be more than happy to take up the position.
“Why not? I might not be able to take up a permanent role because of my engagements with the FA but in an advisory capacity, I’ll be more than happy to help,” Oti Akenten told Ultimate FM.
“We want the best for our clubs because their products give the FA the players for the national teams,” he concluded.
Michael Osei took over from David Duncan in interim capacity and had a good run of results that moved the team from 14th to 3rd position by the end of the first round. Since the start of the second round however, Kotoko are not without a win in their last 5 league matches. They were also kicked out of the FA cup in the quarter finals by Bechem United.
