Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah looks closer to a return to first team action after being named on the bench for Austrian lower tier side FC Liefering on Tuesday.
The injury-plagued centre-back who was handed a lifeline by the development club of former side Red Bull Salzburg in July made his long awaited return after close to two years on the sidelines as Liefering returned to winning ways against Astria Listenau.
Vorsah was however restricted to warming the bench as the side won 2-1 but saw two young compatriots featuring for Liefering.
Ghana U-20 midfielder David Atanga started and lasted the entire duration of the game while forward Raphael Dwamena came from the bench to replace Masaya Okugawa in the second half.
Vorsah, 27, will be hoping his full recovery from knee setbacks will open ways for regular first team action in the coming weeks.
