Newly-crowned Ghana FA Cup champions, Bechem United have sealed a two-year deal with free agent forward Amed Touré.
Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Kwasi Darlington confirmed the deal to footy-ghana.com Tuesday.
The Brong Ahafo side became the first club from that region to win an FA cup title after a 2-1 win over second tier side Okwawu United on Sunday.
In their bid to strengthen the side further for the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup, Bechem United reopened talks and have acquired the services of the former Asante Kotoko forward.
Darlington said: “Yes it’s true; Amed Touré has been on our radar for a very long time now, so he was in the office this morning (Tuesday) to sign for two years but can’t get you the inner details of deal.”
The CEO explained their reason for signing the Burkinabe international.
“He’s a prolific striker, goal poacher and in any given good day when you are not having the magic, he can pull some magic out.
He’s a total footballer [sic],” he added.
Touré will be hoping to get his career back on track after failed spell with Lebanese outfit Nejmeh.
