Wa All Stars exhibited their supremacy over visiting lower tier side Mighty Royals with a 6-0 demolishing in the Round of 16 of the 2016 MTN FA Cup.
Maxwell Baakoh bagged a brace while Emmanuel Ocran, Ismail Abdul Ganiu, Nana Tei Torsu and Muniru Iddrisu each scored to send the Wa side into the quarterfinals.
At the Tamale Stadium, an Abednego Tetteh goal handed visitors Bechem United a 1-0 victory over Real Tamale United.
Striker Samuel Afful finally broke his goal duck this season as he put Sekondi Hasaacas in the lead away to Okwawu United but the Nkawkaw-based club pegged back through Carlos Appiah Richard to force the game into penalties. Okwawu United went ahead to eliminate their Premier League opponents 5-4 in the shootouts.
In a game slightly marred by crowd issues, Elmina Sharks won 4-1 against True Democracy at the Paa Kwesi Nduom Park on Sunday.
With all Round of 16 games cleared, five Premier League clubs as well as three from the Division One have made their way into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. The draw fir the 1/4th stage is expected to be held later this month.
