Ebusua Dwarfs has suffered their second loss in a row, with a defeat to New Edubiase at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Friday.
Dwarfs, under hugely experienced coach J.E Sarpong are yet to pick a premier win this season after they were relegated in 2013/2014 league season.
Before the game, both had lost their match day one games and had vowed to make amends to bring back smiles on the faces of their supporters.
Dwarfs played 4-3-2-1 whiles Edubiase resorted to 4-4-2 formation.
The game began with neat exchanges from both sides in the first half. It was quite cagey at the early stages but rose as the game began to pick up the tempo.
Bright Lukman combined with Gyan to cause all kinds of problems for the home side. But at the end of the first half, the game was fairly balanced with each squandering clear-cut chances.
The home side began the second half very well, knocking repeatedly on the doors of the visitors for the first goal.
Coach J.E Sarpong quickly effected his first substitution to curtail the incessant pressure being mounted by bringing on Samuel Quayeson for Ernest Ackon. Anthony Commey saw what could possibly happen and counted it by bringing in Emmanuel Nketia for Godfred Asiamah.
The substitution paid off as Zuberu Fuseini tappped in from close range after a neat build-up on the left side of attack.
The attacks of the visitors were rendered blunt as Edubiase dominated the game to the end.
The home side held on to their slim lead afterwards to picking their first three point of the 2015/2016 league season.
Malik Tahiru of New Edubiase was subsequently adjudged the man of the match.
